Our class participated in the Young Scientist Award in the RDS in Dublin. We were one of only one hundred primary schools chosen to exhibit at the science fair.
The title of our project was Steam Power. As part of the project we researched how the conversion of water to steam can be harnessed to create steam engines.
We also learned about a famous scientist called Isaac Newton who explained how forces act on each other. We took all of this information and used it to design and build our own steam powered ships.
The photos below show us conducting our research, building our ships, explaining our exhibit at the science fair and being awarded our Young Scientist Trophy!!!We can't wait to take part again next year!
